Join us for an “out-of-public-hours” tour with Sotheby’s Senior Directors, showcasing the highlights of their Summer season of Impressionist, Modern, and Contemporary Art. This exclusive tour includes “Face à Face,” a meticulously curated selection of masterpieces that delve into the connections between artists and their subjects. As part of this celebration of portraiture, you will also have the opportunity to explore a special loan exhibition from Chatsworth, featuring seven portraits spanning various eras, including Dutch, British, and Italian masters, as well as the twentieth-century giant, Lucian Freud. This exhibition beautifully reflects the Devonshire family’s enduring passion for collecting and commissioning art and portraiture over five centuries.
